The rest of Luangwa

This is one of the coolest scenes of the trip. The pictures are in reverse... We were watching a group of Cape Buffalo crossing the road up in the distance when these four giraffes came out of the bush. They ambled up the road in front of us sort of bouncing off one another. In the picture below you can see a newborn buffalo. Our guide estimated that he was about 45 minutes old. You can see the umbilical cord still attached to the mother walking just ahead of him. No time to wait. The guy just started walking with the rest of the pack. Places to go I guess. We were told that the pack will slow down the pace slightly for the newborn.
